Impact

The 3D bedding display in Parade gardens this year 2019 will celebrate 20 years of the  Royal United hospitals "Forever Friends" appeal.                      Annual bedding will be added to the long border to compliment the existing perennial planting.
Throughout the City centre the theme is "Carnival" , Healing, and the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.
The main colours will be Begonia mocca white and rose, with yellow Cannas added to the displays at Brock Street.
Private and civic buildings floral displays will be planted using Yellow, Orange, White and Red.

The RHS theme for 2019  is "Water, too much and too little". Many of our "Its your neighbourhood" groups have been doing just this for a number of years and will continue with their efforts again this year,

The Herbs

In 2013 our 3d display featured "The Herbs", they proved to be probably the most popular 3D display our Parks team have ever created, in fact so popular that the following year they were replanted and taken to Chelsea flower show as part of a display put on by Southwest in bloom.

Carousel displays create more impact

More ‘carousel’ street displays will be installed in key areas in the main arteries of the city, such as the two in Union Street. These displays create considerable visual impact, are efficient to install and maintain and also help to reduce the clutter of street furniture.
